Book Redesign: Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom

The Objectives:
To redesign book covers for Mitch Albom’s Tuesdays with Morrie,
The Time Keeper and Five People You Meet In Heaven.

The Solution
Mitch Albom is a soulful writer that makes any fiction feel realistic. Therefore
photographs of real objects were used alone with a realistic approach to the
typography. Tuesdays With Morrie was a non-fictional book so the inner pages
of the book was a different page of a notepad decorated with folds, paperclips,
pens and post-its. The time keeper is a fictional book about father time, who
created a watch to measure time and it was fitting to have the titles inside the
pocket watch. The five people you meet in heaven is another fiction. The use
of clear cloud-like typography and the hazy ferris wheel, which was the last
thing the character saw when he passed, creates a dream-like environment.
